Comment on “Boosted molecular mobility during common chemical reactions”

چکیده

The apparent “boosted mobility” observed by Wang et al . (Reports, 31 July 2020, p. 537) is the result of a known artifact. When signal intensities are changing during nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) diffusion measurement for reasons other than diffusion, use monotonically increasing gradient amplitudes produces erroneous coefficients. We show that no boosted molecular mobility when shuffled applied.

Molecular Dynamics of Chemical Reactions

Molecular beam and spectroscopic techniques allow detailed study of many dynamical properties of single reactive collisions. The chemical scope of these methods is now very wide and includes certain unimolecular and termolecular reactions as well as bimolecular reactions and energy transfer processes. Results for more than 50 families of A + BC — AB + C atom transfer reactions reveal simple imp...

Chemical-biological reactions common to teratogenesis and mutagenesis

Cytotoxic chemicals have in common the ability to act specifically on cells in cycle. Bacteria are more sensitive in the exponential growth phase than when growing slowly in media. Similar observations have been made on a variety of systems ranging from bacteria, yeast, higher plants and invertebrates to vertebrates including primates. The embryo and fetus are highly susceptible to cytotoxic ag...

The Invariance of Molecular Topology in Chemical Reactions

There are two different pictures of molecular structure: the classical and the quantummechanical. The classical picture is naive-empirical and is the chemical one; it is connected with classical structural formulae, ball-and-stick models, the phenomenological Lewis concept and the Gillespy rules for prediction of molecular geometry. This picture now endures as the heuristic instrument for the p...

Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Chemical Reactions for Use in Education

The computational power of computers available to students has increased to the point that it is now feasible to build interactive molecular simulations that can be used in education. In this paper, the simulation engine of an open source program called the Molecular Workbench (1), which can simulate thermodynamics of chemical reactions, is described. While calculating the time evolution of the...

The Health Mobility Is All True Mobility?; Comment on “Regional Incentives and Patient Cross-border Mobility: Evidence From the Italian Experience”

In their study, Brenna and Spandonaro analyzed the mobility into Italian regions. In particular, it analyzes the situation of 5 regions, with very different backgrounds. With this paper, we try to better define the meaning of health mobility and to find its underlying causes. Furthermore, we propose a strategy that could help in controlling mobility flows that currently are the source of health...
